Day 1 Prague
Your journey into wonder begins in the glorious city of Prague. Upon arrival you’ll be transferred to a centrally located hotel for your two night stay. This evening, join your fellow travellers and Tour Director for a welcome drink.
Day 2 Prague
Discover one of the truly magical cities of Europe on a walking tour with a local guide.
Explore an important part of Prague’s history and uncover its communist-era heritage, follow this up with a beer tasting, or visit the impressive Sternberg Palace, which houses splendid medieval and renaissance works of art, ceramics that span five centuries, including an exceptional collection of arms and armour.
This evening be enthralled by a Czech highlight dinner. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 3 Prague > Berlin
This morning you’ll depart for Dresden, perhaps the greenest city in Germany. Enjoy an orientation tour of this charming city before continuing on to Germany’s capital, Berlin, where you’ll be treated to a three night Special Stay in one of the city’s most opulent hotels. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 4 Berlin > Potsdam > Berlin
Today you’ll journey to Potsdam and visit the Cecilienhof Palace, where the Potsdam Treaty was signed in 1945. It’s an experience to relish, as our expert local historian shares his knowledge of the town and its fascinating past.
Enjoy coffee and cake under the famous glass dome of the renovated parliamentary building that was set on fire in 1933.
This afternoon see the Brandenburg Gate, State Opera House and Alexander Platz. Drive the famous Unter den Linden and visit the former Checkpoint Charlie area. It’s a day simply jam-packed with history. (Breakfast)
Day 5 Berlin
Ride on Berlin’s subway and learn about the history of the city and stories of those who risked their lives for freedom during the Cold War. Visit the Berlin Wall memorial and Hackesche Höfe. Or, for something more leisurely, take a cruise on the Spree River. (Breakfast)
Day 6 Berlin > Warsaw
This morning, board a first class rail carriage for a journey through Poland’s beautiful countryside. Tonight you’ll arrive in Warsaw – Poland’s cultural, entertainment and financial capital – where you’ll check into your hotel, your home for the next two nights. (Breakfast)
Day 7 Warsaw
Warsaw was largely destroyed in World War II, but the historic centre has now been rebuilt and has attained World Heritage status. Your local guide will take you through the key sites that make this location so memorable – including the Jewish Ghetto, the monument to the Ghetto heroes, the Palace of Culture and the Chopin Memorial.
Marvel at the opulence of Warsaw’s Royal Castle, or visit the Warsaw Uprising Museum for an interesting insight into this part of Polish history.
This evening enjoy an exclusive piano concert of Chopin music in a manor house, followed by dinner. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 8 Warsaw > Krakow
Today you’ll journey through Poland to Auschwitz, and visit the former concentration camp and its museum, for chilling reminders of the Holocaust in World War II. Early this evening, you’ll arrive in the city of Krakow. Your hotel for the next two nights is located on the banks of the pretty Wisla River. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 9 Krakow
Today’s sightseeing in this World Heritage-listed Site includes a guided walking tour of the Old Town and a visit to the cathedral and the castle on Wawel Hill.
This afternoon you’ll visit the nearby 800-year-old Wieliczka Salt Mines. See the statues of historic and mythical figures, sculpted by miners out of rock salt.
Tonight, soak up the atmosphere of a Polish folklore show with dinner. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 10 Krakow > Budapest
After breakfast depart Krakow and cross the border into Slovakia en route to the Hungarian capital of Budapest. A warm welcome awaits you from your crew as you board your luxury Scenic Space-Ship. Tonight enjoy a welcome reception with your fellow travellers. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 11 Budapest
Make the most of Budapest with a guided tour of this city of contradictory delights, or relax and unwind at the Thermal Baths and Spa. Alternatively, you can choose to experience the labyrinths of the Hospital in the Rock, a relic of WWII and the 1956 uprising. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 12 Vienna
As you cruise the mighty Danube relax in one of the lounges and viewing areas, and enjoy the scenery as your Scenic Space-Ship sails towards the majestic city of Vienna.
Breathe in the opulence and luxury of Palais Liechtenstein while enjoying a glass of fine Austrian Sekt. Then be enthralled by an enchanting private Viennese evening concert featuring the timeless music of Strauss and Mozart. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 13 Vienna
Take a guided tour of Bratislava or Schönbrunn Palace. Alternatively, visit the world-renowned Spanish Riding School and either tour the stables or see the famous Lipizzaner Stallions perfecting their skills during their morning exercise program. Day 14 Dürnstein > Melk
Embark on an enjoyable guided bike ride along the river from Dürnstein to Melk or be guided through Melk’s magnificent 18th century Benedictine Abbey. Alternatively, visit a local winery and sample some of its fine wines.
As the day ends, you’ll get to enjoy the fine view of the breathtakingly beautiful Wachau Valley – a wonderful ending to a magnificent day. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 15 Passau > Salzburg
Let the ‘Best of The Sound of Music and Salzburg Show’ transport you to another time and place. Based on the timeless movie of the same name, this exclusive production is performed in the rolling hills of Salzburg and will wow you with its stage sets. Day 16 Regensburg
At the confluence of three rivers, Regensburg offers a rich tapestry of experiences, from its medieval Old Town to the Bavarian Forest on its border.
Enjoy a walking tour of the city or hop on board a local ferry and sail the Danube Gorge to view Weltenburg Abbey, sampling beer from one of the oldest monastic breweries in the world. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 17 Nuremberg
Welcome to this fascinating Bavarian city, dating back to the 11th century.

Day 18 Bamberg

Day 19 Würzburg

Day 20 Würzburg > Rüdesheim
