Day 1 Venice
As you arrive into Venice, cruise up the Grand Canal by private motor launch past ornate and gilded palazzos and Palladian churches to your superbly located Special Stay hotel, where you’ll enjoy a two night stay. Tonight join your fellow guests for a welcome drink with your Tour Director.
Day 2 Venice
Appreciate the wealth and power that pervaded this city state in times past during your walking tour of the city, which includes a visit to the Basilica of San Marco.
Ensconced in the romance of this city, enjoy a gondola ride and glide under ancient bridges amongst magnificently beautiful canals. What could be more idyllic?

Day 3 Venice > Opatija
As you leave Italy behind you’ll journey to Slovenia and visit its greatest tourist site – the Karst Caves at Postojna. Continue to the Croatian seaside town of Opatija, your base for the next two nights. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 4 Pula > Rovinj > Opatija
Today you’ll visit the historic towns of Pula and Rovinj. Pula is known for its mild climate and is home to many ancient Roman buildings, including the well-preserved Roman Pula Arena, which you’ll visit. Then, visit a local farm and learn about everyday life in Croatia, while tasting some of the sumptuous local produce. Your journey continues with a visit to Rovinj where you’ll be introduced to the history and attractions of this charming town during a walking tour. (Breakfast)
Day 5 Opatija > Split
Today, drive into the very heart of Dalmatia to the city of Split, beautifully set against the Adriatic Sea. Enjoy an overnight stay. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 6 Split > Dubrovnik
This morning our expert guide, will reveal the ruins of the massive Imperial Palace of Diocletian, constructed from 293AD. You’ll also visit the church which is thought to be the oldest in the world and is still used for services today. This afternoon, leave Split behind and journey along the Mediterranean coast to Dubrovnik. Check into your hotel for your three night stay. (Breakfast)
Day 7 Dubrovnik
The walled Old Town of Dubrovnik is a World Heritage-listed Site and has remained largely unchanged since medieval times. Take a guided walking tour and get to marvel at Onofrio’s Fountain, and visit the Rector’s Palace.
Tonight, choose to dine at one of three superb local restaurants. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 8 Dubrovnik
Let your local guide show you the best views of the city with an active walking tour of Dubrovnik’s medieval ramparts. Alternatively, leave Croatia behind and take a full day excursion to the neighbouring country of Montenegro. You’ll have an opportunity to discover one of the smallest Balkan countries, with its rugged mountains, medieval villages and a narrow strip of beaches along its Adriatic coastline. Day 9 Dubrovnik > Plitvice
Travel inland and enjoy the astonishing natural scenery of the Balkans, heading towards the World Heritage-listed Plitvice National Park. Tonight you’ll stay in the heart of Plitvice, set in a beautiful natural setting. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 10 Plitvice > Ljubljana
This morning, tour the world famous and the World Heritage-listed Plitvice National Park. Wander along meandering pathways to view a series of emerald green lakes, stepped and linked by increasingly impressive waterfalls. Your next stop is Slovenia and its lively capital Ljubljana, where you’ll enjoy two nights. (Breakfast)
Day 11 Ljubljana
Start your day with a guided tour of Ljubljana, seeing the Opera House, National Museum, Franciscan Church and St. Nicholas Cathedral.
Step back in time and take a traditional Pletna boat to the beautiful island sitting in the middle of Lake Bled. You’ll get to visit the historic Church of St Mary with its famous wishing well, and you can even ring the bell for good luck. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 12 Ljubljana > Budapest
This afternoon, embrace the beautiful and historic city of Budapest. A warm welcome awaits you from your crew as you board your luxury Scenic Space-Ship. Your majestic cruise begins here. Relax and raise your glass to the days ahead at this evening’s welcome reception. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 13 Budapest
Make the most of Budapest with a guided tour of this city of contradictory delights, or relax and unwind at the Thermal Baths and Spa. Alternatively, you can choose to experience the labyrinths of the Hospital in the Rock, a relic of WWII and the 1956 uprising. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 14 Vienna
As you cruise the mighty Danube relax in one of the lounges and viewing areas, and enjoy the scenery as your Scenic Space-Ship sails towards the majestic city of Vienna.
Breathe in the opulence and luxury of Palais Liechtenstein while enjoying a glass of fine Austrian Sekt. Then be enthralled by an enchanting private Viennese evening concert featuring the timeless music of Strauss and Mozart. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 15 Vienna
Take a guided tour of Bratislava or Schönbrunn Palace. Alternatively, visit the world-renowned Spanish Riding School and either tour the stables or see the famous Lipizzaner Stallions perfecting their skills during their morning exercise program. Day 16 Dürnstein > Melk
Embark on an enjoyable guided bike ride along the river from Dürnstein to Melk or be guided through Melk’s magnificent 18th century Benedictine Abbey. Alternatively, visit a local winery and sample some of its fine wines.

Day 17 Passau > Salzburg
Let the ‘Best of The Sound of Music and Salzburg Show’ transport you to another time and place. Day 18 Regensburg
At the confluence of three rivers, Regensburg offers a rich tapestry of experiences, from its medieval Old Town to the Bavarian Forest on its border.

Day 19 Nuremberg
Welcome to this fascinating Bavarian city, dating back to the 11th century.
