Day 1 Berlin
Your journey begins in glorious Berlin. Upon arrival you’ll be transferred to your luxurious hotel for a three night stay. This evening join your fellow travellers and Tour Director for a welcome drink.
 
Day 2 Berlin > Potsdam > Berlin
Journey to Potsdam, where a local historian will share his insights on the town and its history. Later, visit the Cecilienhof Palace where the Potsdam Treaty was signed in 1945. This afternoon, see the Brandenburg Gate, State Opera House and Alexander Platz. Then drive the famous ‘Unter den Linden’ and visit the former Checkpoint Charlie area.
 
Enjoy coffee and cake under the famous glass dome of the renovated Reichstag Building that was set on fire in 1933. (Breakfast, Dinner)
 
Day 3 Berlin
Visit the moving Berlin Wall memorial and the Hackesche Höfe, then ride Berlin’s subway and learn the historic details of the city’s Cold War period. Alternatively, enjoy a cruise of the Spree River, and take in the city’s fine architecture from the water. (Breakfast)
 
Day 4 Berlin > Warsaw
This morning board a first class rail carriage and enjoy Poland’s serene countryside as we travel from Berlin. This evening, you’ll arrive in Warsaw, Poland’s cultural, entertainment and financial capital for the next two nights. (Breakfast, Dinner)
 
Day 5 Warsaw
Warsaw was largely destroyed in World War II, but the historic centre has been rebuilt and has since attained World Heritage-listed status. Today you’ll visit the Jewish Ghetto with a local guide for a striking reminder of the suffering endured in WWII. You’ll also see the monument to the Ghetto heroes, the Palace of Culture and the Chopin Memorial – all remarkable landmarks in this diverse and history-rich land.
 
You have two vastly different but equally interesting options. Tour the opulent Royal Castle, or visit the Warsaw Uprising Museum for an interesting insight into this part of Polish history.
 
This evening enjoy an exclusive piano concert of Chopin’s immortal music in a manor house, followed by dinner. This is an experience with something for all the senses, indulge in all the wonderful sights, sounds and tastes on offer. (Breakfast, Dinner)
 
Day 6 Warsaw > Vilnius
After breakfast, depart Warsaw. Your route will take you into the pristine Mazurian region. Then, cross the border into Lithuania and continue on to the capital and your base for the next two nights, Vilnius. (Breakfast, Dinner)
 
Day 7 Vilnius
Delight in an insightful walking tour around the Old Town with its many famous examples of Baroque architecture. You’ll see all the famous landmarks, including the University, the Gates of Dawn, with its remarkable chapel, and the famous Vilnius Cathedral. (Breakfast)
 
Day 8 Vilnius > Riga
Today depart Vilnius and drive north to the extraordinary Hill of Crosses. This symbol of Christian resistance to the Soviets features millions of small crosses which were repeatedly bulldozed during the occupation. Continue on to Riga and visit Rundale Palace and its magnificent gardens before checking into your hotel, your base for the next two nights. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
 
Day 9 Riga
This morning, embark on a discovery of Riga’s Old Town. Then, tour the Ethnographical Open-Air Museum for an insight into Latvia’s heritage. (Breakfast, Dinner)
 
Day 10 Riga > Sigulda > Tallinn
Today you’ll visit Sigulda, set in the Gauja River Valley and known as the Switzerland of Latvia. Explore the stunning landscapes of this region and visit Turaida Castle. After lunch continue towards Tallinn, passing through Parnu, Estonia’s summer capital. Arrive in Tallinn and relax at your hotel, your home for the next two nights. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
 
Day 11 Tallinn
Today you’ll discover Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and Tallinn’s famed Town Hall.
 
Visit the Kadriorg Palace and Park. The area is home to some of Tallinn’s most prestigious residences. Alternatively, be seduced by the incredible exhibits at the Seaplane Harbour Museum.
 
This evening, dine at one of three superb local restaurants. (Breakfast, Dinner)
 
Day 12 Tallinn > Helsinki
Today, relax on board your hydrofoil ride across the Baltic Sea to the trendy Finnish capital, Helsinki. On arrival enjoy a guided sightseeing tour before arriving at your hotel for your overnight stay. (Breakfast, Dinner)
 
Day 13 Helsinki >St. Petersburg
Travel on the high-speed Allegro train to St. Petersburg. Upon arrival board the luxury Scenic Tsar. (Breakfast, Dinner)
 
Day 14 St. Petersburg
Explore Catherine’s Block and the fountains in the Lower Garden at Peterhof on a guided tour, or be seduced by the sheer extravagance of Peterhof’s Grand Palace, which was modelled on the Palace of Versailles. Alternatively, wander the incomparable Upper and Lower Gardens at Peterhof, including the Palace’s majestic fountains.
 
Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant, followed by a guided tour of this uniquely beautiful metropolis. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
 
Day 15 St. Petersburg
Visit magnificent St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the largest Russian Orthodox cathedral in the city. Or discover the Yusupov Palace, where Rasputin was murdered.
 
Following lunch in a local restaurant, enjoy a cruise through the city’s canals and get to glide under some of the city’s 400 bridges.
 
Later this evening, please join the Scenic Tsar’s Captain for the official welcome dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
 
Day 16 St. Petersburg
This morning visit Catherine’s Palace, famous for its grandiose white and gold façade and its elaborate gardens.
 
Enjoy a highlight lunch at the old-world wooden Podvorie restaurant. Here you’ll be offered traditional Russian cuisine where the delicious fare is home-grown at the restaurant owner’s private summer residence.
 
This afternoon enjoy free time to explore or relax as you please.
 
Tonight you’ll be treated to a glass of sparkling wine, followed by a private Russian ballet concert at the majestic Palace of Prince Vladimir. It was the last Imperial palace to be built in St. Petersburg and is an eclectic combination of architectural styles that will dazzle and amaze you. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
 
Day 17 St. Petersburg
This morning visit the Hermitage, formerly the Winter Palace and home to the Tsars. Today it houses one of the world’s most magnificent art collections.
 
Tonight, join your fellow guests on the Sun Deck as your ship sets sail down the Neva River. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
 
Day 18 Mandrogi
It’s all ashore to explore this charming museum village, which was reconstructed after WWII. Wander around the distinctive buildings and later try shashlik, a traditional meal similar to shish kebab. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
 
Day 19 Kizhi Island
This morning your ship docks at Kizhi Island – an open air museum with a precious collection of wooden churches and chapels. You’ll also get to view the magnificent Church of the Transfiguration with its 22 timbered onion domes. It is easily amongst the most magnificent examples of wooden architecture in Russia, if not the world. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
 
Day 20 Goritsy
Explore the Kirillo-Belozersky monastery, built in 1397 and home to a wonderful collection of Russian Orthodox icons. As the ship sets sail, you’ll get to toast the occasion with a little vodka, a beverage integral to Russian culture for over 600 years. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
 
Day 21 Yaroslavl
Welcome to the fascinating and ancient city of Yaroslavl. In fact, dating back to 1010, it’s even older than mighty Moscow. Today you’ll have an opportunity to visit the Fine Art Museum, housed in the Governor’s mansion, featuring the impressive collection of Russian paintings. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
 
Day 22 Uglich
Part of the ‘Golden Ring’ of cities surrounding Moscow, Uglich is well worth a long, deliberate examination and your guided walking tour will be just what the doctor ordered. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
 
Day 23 Moscow
Relax on board as you sail towards Russia’s mightiest city. Arriving after lunch, you’ll set out on an exploration that will acquaint you with such world-renowned sights as Red Square and the unusually beautiful Saint Basil’s Cathedral. Though now more accessible to travellers from around the world, these incredible icons still exude much of the enigma that has always defined them.

Day 24 Moscow
Start your day by seeing the city’s finest sights. Then, take an insightful ride on Moscow’s Metro, which is guaranteed to surprise you. In fact, it’s considered one of the best subway systems in the world.

Day 25 Moscow
Visit the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics. Here you’ll have the opportunity to meet a real cosmonaut and learn about the history of space exploration, with original exhibits and models relating to space technology, history and art. It’s a beautiful and out-of-this-world experience that will have you seeing stars.
 
Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant.
 
Visit the State Tretyakov gallery, a world-famous museum housing a unique collection of Russian art, or explore the Museum of the Great Patriotic War commonly known as the World War Two museum, where you’ll have an opportunity to see a vast collection of Russian military memorabilia. Day 26 Moscow
Your day begins with a visit to the Kremlin, the intriguing seat of the former Soviet Union. In the State Armory, you’ll see priceless weaponry, jewels, and ceremonial robes.
 
Tonight, witness a thrilling National Russian Show performed by fifty folk dancers. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
 
Day 27 Moscow
After breakfast, your cruise comes to an end, as all good things must. However, it’s also the start of a lifetime of wonderful memories. (Breakfast)
