Day 3: Cruising the romantic Rhine River, Rüdesheim
Featured Excursion: Gondola ride to the Niederwald Monument
In the morning, cruise the UNESCO World Heritage- designated Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Then take a scenic gondola ride above the vineyards of Rüdesheim to the Niederwald Monument. (BB, L, D)
Day 4: Offenbach (Heidelberg or Aschaffenburg)
Featured Excursion: Choice of full-day Heidelberg OR tour of Aschaffenburg
Visit Heidelberg, home to the most beautiful Renaissance castle ruins in Europe. Or relax onboard in the morning, enjoying a beautiful stretch of the Main, and then tour Aschaffenburg and the Pompeianum, King Ludwig I of Bavaria’s perfect replica of a Roman villa, which is located on the grounds of Castle Johannisburg. Day 5: Cruising the Main River, Wertheim

Day 6: Cruising the Main River, Würzburg

Day 7: Cruising the Main River, Schweinfurt

Day 8: Bamberg
Featured Excursion: Bamberg city tour

Day 9: Nuremberg, cruising the Main-Danube Canal

Cross the European continental divide as you cruise through the three highest locks of the Main-Danube Canal en route to Nuremberg. Explore this archetypal Medieval city. Or tour the city’s most important WWII

Day 10: Regensburg

Discover one of Germany’s unspoiled, UNESCO-designated Medieval gems in Regensburg. Day 11: Passau, cruising the Danube River
Featured Excursion: Passau walking tour with St. Stephan’s organ concert
Passau boasts a delightful layer of Italian style on top of quintessential German foundations. Step off the ship to discover an accessible and charming town on your guided walking tour, and then hear the magnificent pipe organ at St. Stephan’s Cathedral. (BB, L, D)
Note: St. Stephan’s organ concert is only available from May 2 to October 31, excluding Sundays and Catholic holidays. An alternate venue will be organized before and after these dates.
Day 12: Melk, cruising the Wachau Valley, Vienna

Cruise the UNESCO World Heritage-designated Wachau Valley and then tour Melk’s 900-year-old abbey, a masterpiece of Baroque art and architecture. (BB, L, D)
Day 13: Vienna

Unearth Vienna’s imperial history during a tour that takes you along the Ringstrasse and to the Austrian National Library. Or opt to capture “Vienna, City of Arts” with an art historian guide who will show you the Belvedere and the Museum of Fine Arts. (BB, L, D)
Note: The Austrian National Library is closed on Mondays. If the tour lands on a Monday, Mozarthaus will be visited instead.
Day 14: Budapest
