Day 2 Zurich > Lucerne
Upon arrival to Lucerne enjoy your free time and perhaps explore one of the three famous Christmas markets. The Lucerne Christmas market on Franziskanerplatz, the Christkindlimarkt in the railway station and the craft market are absolute highlights and not to be missed. Enjoy your overnight stay. Day 3 Lucerne > Montreux
Travel to Montreux where you'll get the chance to discover Montreux Christmas market, featuring over 160 decorated and illuminated chalets along Grand-Rue and the quays of Lake Geneva. Tonight you’ll get the chance to luxuriate at your hotel, located on the shores of picturesque Lake Geneva, where you’ll enjoy a two night stay. (Breakfast)
Day 4 Montreux
Today you’ll board a first class carriage for a panoramic train journey to Château-d’Œx. Upon arrival you’ll view traditional cheese-making in rustic ambience at the Restaurant Le Chalet. The Restaurant Le Chalet makes its own cheese, “Le Chalet Bio”. The cheesemaker transforms milk into a hard cheese right in front of your eyes. At the end of the demonstration you’ll have an opportunity to taste the freshly made cheese. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 5 Montreux > Basel
Today leave Montreux and journey to neighbouring Vevey, home to Charlie Chaplin once he’d fled the United States. Enter the world of Charlie Chaplin as you meet one of the 20th century’s most celebrated artists during a visit to the Chaplin’s World Museum. From there, it’s on to Basel where a warm welcome awaits you from the crew of your luxury Scenic Space-Ship. Your luxury cruise is about to begin and you’ll have the chance to raise your glass to the occasion at the evening’s welcome reception. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 6 Strasbourg
Enjoy a guided tour of Strasbourg, where you’ll discover La Petite France and stroll through the Old Town, with its half-timbered houses and distinctive Alsatian winstubs. During your free time you might wish to explore stalls of Strasbourg's Christkindelsmärik, one of the largest Christmas markets in Europe. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 7 Mannheim
Uncover the fascinating history of Heidelberg, including a visit to its fine Renaissance castle, or enjoy an orientation tour of Heidelberg's quaint old town, followed by some leisure time.
Enjoy a private evening concert at a fine Baroque palace. It’ll be an evening of grandeur unlike any other, and a chance to create memories that you’ll cherish for a lifetime. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 8 Rüdesheim > Koblenz
Succumb to charming Rüdesheim, where you’ll board the Winzerexpress mini-train for a guided visit of Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum. Then, enjoy some free time and explore its famous Christmas market. Set in Rüdesheim’s old quarter, the Christmas market brings a noticeably festive feel to this romantic old town. Discover some of the 120 stands set up along Drosselgasse lane, a famous street, festively decorated with sparkling lights and decorations.
Marvel at the spectacular World Heritage-listed Rhine Gorge, before arriving in lovely Koblenz. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 9 Koblenz
One of Germany's oldest cities is turned into a Christmas paradise in the Advent season, ideal for romantic strolls around the city.
Take advantage of a guided tour of this historic city, which straddles two of Europe’s most beautiful rivers. Six tranquil places in the old part of Koblenz with more than 100 glittering, festive, cottage-style stands – and Lebkuchenherzen, traditional gingerbread hearts, create a magical European Christmas experience. Alternatively, discover Cochem – a true medieval gem resting on the banks of the Moselle River. Cochem will make you feel as if you’re stepping straight into a fairy tale and you’ll take a guided tour that culminates in a visit to the iconic Reichsburg Castle. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 10 Cologne
Stroll through Cologne on a guided city tour, and get up close to the filigree twin towers of the famous cathedral. Enjoy free time and perhaps visit Cologne Cathedral markets, home to the largest Christmas tree in Rhineland. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 11 Amsterdam
Experience an iconic canal cruise. Alternatively, discover charming Volendam, with its unusual raised homes and quaint wooden church before visiting the equally charming village of Edam. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 12 Amsterdam
After a hearty breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Amsterdam Airport for your onward or homebound flight. You’ll be taking a lifetime of wonderful memories back with you. (Breakfast)
