Day 6 Belgrade
Freechoice: Join your local guide for an in-depth discovery of Belgrade and visit Tito’s Memorial, or see Belgrade on an orientation tour before time at leisure. Alternatively, choose a guided bike ride along the Danube, or journey to Sremski Karlovci, where you can explore the town and marvel at the many beautiful Baroque elements. You also have the option of gaining some true insights into everyday life on a walking tour with a local. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 7 Iron Gates
Relax on board and admire the scenery as you cruise the spectacular Iron Gates – a narrow gorge that the Danube has carved out between the Carpathian and Balkan Mountains. Not only is it a spectacular setting, it’s also the natural border between Serbia and Romania.
Raise a toast to the end of a wonderful day in this spectacular location. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 8 Svishtov > Rousse
Freechoice: Discover the Byzantine gem of Veliko Tarnovo and the village of Arbanassi. Or stay on board and cruise to the town of Rousse, where you’ll be treated to a guided sightseeing tour. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 9 Silistra
Discover the Silistra Fort during an active walking tour, or take an excursion to Varna on the Black Sea coast. Or tour a local village, including a visit to the primary school, and learn about life in Bulgaria. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 10 Giurgiu > Bucharest
Bid a fond farewell to your crew as you disembark your Scenic Space-Ship and travel to Bucharest.
Freechoice: Explore Bucharest and learn about its communist past, including a visit to Ceausescu’s Spring Palace. Or tour the Village Open Air Museum and discover ethnography exhibits depicting Romanian heritage and culture.

Day 11 Bucharest > Nessebar
Travel to the stunning Black Sea coast for a two night stay at Nessebar. Tonight, delight in delicious local cuisine and take in a folklore show. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Take a guided tour of Nessebar. This afternoon you have the opportunity to explore this ancient town at your leisure. Tonight, delight in delicious local cuisine and take in a folklore show. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 13 Nessebar > Canakkale
Journey from Bulgaria to Canakkale, Turkey for a two night stay. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 14 Canakkale > Gallipoli
Travel to the Gallipoli Peninsula, the site of WWI landings by the Allied Forces, including ANZAC troops. There are over 31 cemeteries on the peninsula, now a national park, and you’ll have the chance to explore and gain a unique perspective on this moving and historically poignant location. You also have the opportunity to visit the Kabatepe Museum where you will see a range of historically significant items from the Gallipoli campaign. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 15 Istanbul
After breakfast enjoy a fascinating tour of Homer’s Troy – the legendary site of the Trojan Wars. Afterwards, travel to Istanbul, where you will enjoy a three night stay. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 16 Istanbul
Explore Istanbul including visits to the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Dolmabahce Palace.
Freechoice: Join a cooking class or try your hand at the ancient art of writing during a calligraphy course. Alternatively, relax and rejuvenate during your visit to the Ayasofya Hurrem Sultan Hamami Turkish Baths. (Breakfast)
Day 17 Istanbul
Take a cruise on the Bosphorus strait this morning, then visit Hagia Sophia and spend some time wandering the evocative Grand Bazaar before an afternoon at leisure.
Tonight, a special treat awaits you as you attend your farewell dinner at the stunning Hamdi Restaurant, where you’ll be treated to outstanding views over the Golden Horn, accompanied by the call to prayer that echoes from the numerous surrounding mosques. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 18 Istanbul
After breakfast, prepare to head home. It may be the end of your journey, but it’s the beginning of a lifetime of fond memories. (Breakfast)
