Day 5 Osijek
Freechoice: Explore Osijek on a guided city tour, or take a blissful guided bike ride through Osijek’s countryside.
As a Scenic guest, you’ll be invited into the home of a local family for a traditional home-cooked meal and the chance to discover what everyday life is really like in Croatia. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 6 Belgrade
Freechoice: Join your local guide for an in-depth discovery of Belgrade and visit Tito’s Memorial, or see Belgrade on an orientation tour before time at leisure. Alternatively, choose a guided bike ride along the Danube, or journey to Sremski Karlovci, where you can explore the town and marvel at the many beautiful Baroque elements. You also have the option of gaining some true insights into everyday life on a walking tour with a local. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 7 Iron Gates
Relax on board and admire the scenery as you cruise the spectacular Iron Gates – a narrow gorge that the Danube has carved out between the Carpathian and Balkan Mountains. Not only is it a spectacular setting, it’s also the natural border between Serbia and Romania.
Raise a toast to the end of a wonderful day in this spectacular location. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 8 Svishtov > Rousse
Freechoice: Discover the Byzantine gem of Veliko Tarnovo and the village of Arbanassi. Or stay on board and cruise to the town of Rousse, where you’ll be treated to a guided sightseeing tour. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 9 Silistra
Discover the Silistra Fort during an active walking tour, or take an excursion to Varna on the Black Sea coast. Or tour a local village, including a visit to the primary school, and learn about life in Bulgaria. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 10 Giurgiu > Bucharest
Bid a fond farewell to your crew as you disembark your Scenic Space-Ship and travel to Bucharest.
Freechoice: Explore Bucharest and learn about its communist past, including a visit to Ceausescu’s Spring Palace. Or tour the Village Open Air Museum and discover ethnography exhibits depicting Romanian heritage and culture.
Later, check-in for your stay at your centrally located hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 11 Bucharest > Sibiu
This morning, journey to Sibiu in the region of Transylvania. Take a tour of this medieval city, visiting its lively squares and colourful streets before checking into your hotel in Sibiu. (Breakfast)
Day 12 Sibiu > Sighisoara
Visit the Saxon town of Sighisoara, birthplace of Vlad Tepes and inspiration for the legend of Dracula, made famous in Bram Stoker’s novel of the same name.
Freechoice: Take a guided city tour or, if you’re feeling more active, hike to the Church on the Hill for superb views.

Day 13 Sighisoara > Brasov
Visit Bran Castle, once home to Queen Marie of Romania but more famously linked to the legend of Count Dracula. Upon arrival in Brasov, enjoy a guided walking tour before checking into your hotel. Tonight, enjoy a sumptuous dinner complete with Romanian folklore. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 14 Brasov > Bucharest
En-route back to Bucharest visit Peles Castle. Built in the 19th century in neo-renaissance style, it is the former summer residence of the Romanian royal family and considered to be one of the most beautiful castles in Eastern Europe. (Breakfast)
Day 15 Bucharest
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Bucharest airport for your homebound flight, taking wonderful memories with you. (Breakfast)
