DAY 1: BUDAPEST (Hungary)
We'll board our ship (1) in Budapest at the end of the afternoon. After comfortably settling into your cabin, enjoy a welcome cocktail with the crew. This evening, we'll have dinner and an evening of entertainment onboard. Our ship will begin to cruise to Mohacs.
DAY 2: MOHÁCS (Hungary) - OSIJEK (Croatia)
Aerobics session and entertainment on board. Arrival in Osijek.
Afternoon excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: discovery of the Upper town and the St. Peter and St. Paul Basilica, the old town (Tvarda) and its fortress, the main square and its Holy Trinity Statue.
DISCOVERY as a supplement: Osijek by bike.
Our cruise continues to Novi Sad. Evening of onboard entertainment.
DAY 3: NOVI SAD (Croatia) - BELGRADE (Serbia)
Guided tour of Novi Sad, capital of Vojvodina. Cruise to Sremski Karlovci, Serb cultural center of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Sailing to Belgrade.
CLASSIC: guided tour of the town.
DISCOVERY as a supplement: Belgrade by bike. Discover the history of the city.
Evening of dancing on board. We'll cruise throughout the night.
DAY 4: THE IRON GATES
Day spent sailing: passing through the Iron Gates between the Carpathians and the Balkans. We'll cruise throughout the night.
DAY 5: RUSE (Serbia)
Early in the morning, arrival in Ruse. Day tour (lunch included). Visit of Veliko Tarnovo, the medieval capital of Bulgaria but also capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire, which was established in the heart of the country. Lunch in a restaurant with a marvelous view on the ruins of the fortress. In the afternoon, discovery of Arbanassi, classified as an "Architectural and Historical Reserve". Return on board. We'll remain in port overnight.
DAY 6: RUSE - OLTENITA (Romania)
Visit of Ruse. The town has a surprising multi-ethnic character and is a cleverly constructed mix of Bulgarian and Romanian cultures. We'll begin to cruise to Giurgiu.
Excursion for both packages: excursion to Bucharest, nicknamed "Little Paris". Visit of the eco-museum which gives us the opportunity to appreciate the architecture and rural craftwork of Romania’s many different regions. Cruise to Cernavoda / Fetesti. Gala evening. We'll cruise throughout the night.
DAY 7: CERNAVODA / FETESTI (Romania) - SULINA (Romania)
Arrival in Cernavoda / Fetesti and full-day excursion to Constanta (lunch included). Discovery of a real melting pot of architectural styles, most evident in the Orthodox Church (interior) and the Great Mosque (exterior). Lunch in a local restaurant. Our cruise continues to Murfatlar where Romania produces its best wines. Wine tasting in a cellar. Evening of onboard entertainment. We'll cruise throughout the night.
DAY 8: SULINA (Romania) - CRISAN (Romania) - TULCEA (Romania)
Arrival in Sulina, located at the mouth of the Danube, heading on to Crisan.
CLASSIC: the Danube delta, a very important nature reserve.
DISCOVERY as a supplement: visit of the Danube delta on a speed boat.
Arrival in Tulcea. Romanian folk evening on board. We'll remain in port overnight.
DAY 9: TULCEA (Romania)
Enjoy buffet breakfast on board before disembarking in the morning (1).

Sorry, we are unable to offer air from countries other than the U.S. However, for those international customers who are able to arrange their own transportation to the trip origination city, we are able to offer the land/cruise portion of the package at the price quoted.
