DAY 1 LISBON
Your tour guide will welcome you at the end of the day. You will then settle into a 4-star hotel LS and enjoy dinner. The evening is free to do as you please.
DAY 2 LISBON
Full of history and traditions, the Portuguese Capital reveals a vibrant and charismatic character. This morning, join us on a guided tour of Lisbon. Discover the older areas of the city –where the traditional trams are still operating– as well as the architectural treasures and monuments to the famous Portuguese navigators.
This afternoon, join us on a tour of the city by coach. From Sao Jorge Castle, you’ll enjoy an outstanding panoramic view over the Tagus River and the pastel-colored houses of the popular districts. We’ll return to the hotel at the end of the day.
DAY 3 LISBON - COIMBRA - PORTO
We’ll head to Coimbra, once the medieval capital of Portugal and the site of the country's largest university. In the afternoon, join us for a tour of Coimbra. Situated on a hill overlooking the city, the University of Coimbra grew and evolved over more than seven centuries within the old town and conceals real treasures of its past. You can enjoy a pleasant walk in the lovely alleys of the historic heart of the city, still bearing witness to its medieval past.
We’ll hop back on our coach and continue on towards Porto where you’ll be welcome to board our ship at the end of the day. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail. Tonight, join us on an excursion by coach: discover the striking beauty of Porto at night.
DAY 4 PORTO - REGUA
This morning, join us for an excursion: Discover Porto, one of the oldest cities in Europe, whose historic center was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We’ll leave by coach from Vila Nova de Gaia for the guided tour of Porto and admire the Sé do Porto (Porto cathedral) and the Palácio da Bolsa (Stock Exchange Palace). Then we’ll head to one of the famous wine cellars for a tasting session*.
After our tour, we'll return on board and spend the afternoon sailing towards Regua. You’ll discover the Douro valley and its beautiful forest landscapes as well as the Rio de Ouro (or “Golden River”) bordered by vineyards and where nature has remained wild and well-preserved. You’ll pass through the Carrapatello lock, the highest in Europe. We’ll reach Regua towards the end of the day. Enjoy an evening of onboard entertainment.
DAY 5 REGUA - FERRADOSA - PINHAO
We’ll spend the morning cruising. You’ll pass along the most famous Porto vineyards producing the renowned Port Wine, and through the Valeira lock. Built in the 18th century, it is one of the most beautiful along the Douro. This afternoon, join us for an excursion on the Porto wine route. Along the winding roads, you’ll discover the wonderful landscapes and the picturesque villages of San Salvator do Mundo and Sao Joao da Pesqueira. You’ll enjoy a wine tasting session*, of course. We'll return on board in Pinhão. Enjoy an evening of dancing on board.
DAY 6 PINHAO - PORTO ANTIGO
Join us this morning for a guided tour of Lamego. The unique charm of this little town lies in the lovely bourgeois homes from the 16th and 18th centuries and in the extraordinary Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remedios. We'll enjoy a panoramic tour of the city before heading to the sanctuary, overlooking the city from over 600 meters. Leading to the sanctuary are an impressive 700 steps with 9 landings, beautifully adorned with azulejos. We'll return on board and start cruising towards Porto Antigo through the Douro Valley and its magnificent vines plunging into the river, a sight you never grow weary of. We’ll reach our destination in the evening. Tonight's our gala dinner and evening.
DAY 7 PORTO ANTIGO - PORTO
We’ll spend the morning cruising one last time through the Douro Valley towards Porto. We’ll pass through the Carrapatello and Crestuma locks before reaching our destination in the early afternoon. We’ll leave by coach towards Aveiro for a guided tour of the city where you can admire a set of Art Nouveau buildings and the charm of the quaint fishermen’s district where the “moliceiros” -the traditional boats adorned with ornamental paintings- are moored. We'll return on board and enjoy traditional folk entertainment.
DAY 8 PORTO
Enjoy one last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking at 9.00 a.m. End of our services.

The Portuguese capital has managed to find the subtle balance between past heritage and attractive modernity. After a 3-day stay in Lisbon, you’ll set out on a round-trip cruise from Porto via Regua and Pinhão.
