DAY 2, Sunday - Cruise Embarkation in Bonn
Arrive in Dusseldorf and transfer independently to the port in Bonn. Embarkation will begin at 2:00 pm. After arrival formalities, rest and relax on board. This evening, meet your cruise director and enjoy a gala welcome dinner as it sets the mood for your delightful river cruise. (Dinner)
DAY 3, Monday - Bonn City Tour
Wake up this morning in Bonn, West Germany's former capital. Embark on a walking tour of Bonn to discover the city's highlights and hear about its history from your knowledgeable guide. Stroll through the charming Old Town and view the House of Ludwig van Beethoven (the city’s claim to fame). Continue to Munsterplatz to view the Beethoven Monument and the 11th century Bonn Minster, a spectacular five-spired basilica with an elaborate facade. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
DAY 4, Tuesday - Morning Cruising & Afternoon in Koblenz
Spend the morning in Koblenz, located at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle Rivers. Join an orientation walk and enjoy free time to explore the Romanesque architecture and imposing defensive towers of this 2000-year old city. After lunch on board, set sail for Frankfurt and take in the spectacular vistas as the ship sails past castles perched on lofty cliffs, terraced vineyards and tiny villages. Pass the mighty Lorelei Rock on the eastern bank of the Rhine rising vertically from the waters, named for the siren "Lorelei" who bewitched sailors passing by. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
DAY 5, Wednesday - Frankfurt City Tour
Frankfurt is home of the European Central Bank and financial heart of Germany. Situated on the banks of the River Main, Frankfurt is a city of contrasts. Its famous modern skyline is a striking backdrop of the historical town center, or Römerberg. Begin the day with a walking tour of the city with your local guide, or alternatively, join the optional tour to Heidelberg, home to the oldest university in Germany and inspiration for some of the world's greatest writers and artists. The tour includes lunch, as well as a panoramic view of Frankfurt as you drive away from the city. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

DAY 6, Thursday - Explore Worms
Today, take a morning city tour of Worms: A city of churches. Visit the Jewish cemetery, considered to be the oldest surviving Jewish cemetery in Europe with graves dating back to the late 11th century. Continue to majestic Worms Cathedral, one of the imperial Cathedrals and among the finest examples of Romanesque architecture in Germany. Proceed to the Martin Luther Monument and learn about the Protestant reformer and his visit in Worms in 1521. Afterward, free time to further exolore the city on your own. All passengers will rejoin the ship in mid afternoon and set sail for Strasbourg. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
DAY 7, Friday - Strasbourg City Tour
A lovely day awaits you in Strasbourg, the capital of Alsace, situated on the border of France and Germany, blending the cultures of both countries. Discover Strasbourg on the tour highlighting the city's center, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Of special note is the stunning Gothic Cathedral, an exquisite example of late Gothic architecture that houses one of the finest astronomical clocks in existence. See the magical La Petite France district, home to quaint shops and charming bistros, Place Kleber, a large historic square in the center of the city and Place Gutenberg, dedicated to the inventor of the printing press. DAY 8, Saturday - Basel City Tour
Begin the day with a tram ride to Basel's city center. Here, explore the historic Old Town with your guide and gain insight into its 15th century history. View the city's top attractions including Basel Minster, the Barfusserkirche, City Hall, the Museum of Cultures and Tinguely Fountain. Along the way, marvel at the city’s bold and modern architecture. Conclude the tour at Marktplatz, a medieval historic center dating back to the 1500s, where a market takes place every day except Sundays. On the market stalls, you can find delectable local produce, as well as many local and international specialties. After lunch on board, spend time at leisure. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
DAY 9, Sunday - Mount Pilatus & Lucerne City Tour
This morning, bid farewell to your Cruise Director and meet your local host as you disembark in Basel and drive to Lucerne with its pristine lakeside setting and gorgeous mountainous panorama, where you spend two nights in the center of the Swiss Alps. Upon arrival, ascend Mount Pilatus to take in the gorgeous panorama from nearly 7000 feet. Continue to the city center to view the Lion Monument, erected in memory of the heroic death of Swiss guards, one of the best-known monuments in Switzerland. Continue to the 14th century medieval Chapel Bridge, one of the oldest covered wooden bridges in Europe, forming the centerpiece of Lucerne's townscape. (Breakfast)
DAY 10, Monday - Full Day in Lucerne
A full day to explore this lovely city at the heart of central Switzerland nestled on Lake Lucerne. See the historic houses lining the lovely town squares in the well-preserved medieval Old City, walk along the waterfront promenade or perhaps discover the lake on a paddlewheel steamer cruise. On your last night in Switzerland, treat yourself to a superb meal at one of the many world-class restaurants that string the lake. (Breakfast)
