Day 2 Paris
Freechoice: View all the major sights of Paris – the Arc de Triomphe, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the famous Champs Elysées. Alternatively, lose yourself in the world’s largest museum, the Louvre, or take a walking tour with a Parisian. (Breakfast)
Day 3 Paris
Enjoy a free day to explore.
Freechoice Dining: Tonight dine at the world-famous Lido while enjoying a cabaret show, or at the 58 Tour Eiffel in the Eiffel Tower itself, before taking a short sightseeing cruise on the Seine River. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 4 Paris > Chalon-sur-Saône
Depart Paris and transfer via coach to Chalon-sur-Saône where you’ll be warmly welcomed on board your luxurious Scenic Space-Ship. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 5 Mâcon > Lyon
Freechoice: Travel to the ‘Golden Stone’ region of Beaujolais, and enjoy a tasting of the region’s wines. Or, explore charming Cluny, built around the great Benedictine Abbey.
While cruising this afternoon, join a lesson in French cookery in Scenic Culinaire. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 6 Lyon
Awake today in Lyon, the gastronomic heart of France.
Freechoice: Walk Lyon’s hidden traboules, and visit the Notre Dame Basilica, which offers fabulous views across the city. Alternatively, walk the cobblestone paths of yesteryear in the medieval hilltop town of Pérouges, or join a guided bike ride to Lyon’s Botanical Gardens and Zoo. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 7 Vienne > Tournon
Freechoice: Take a walking tour in Vienne including a visit to the Roman amphitheatre and uncover the fascinating history of this quaint riverside town, once conquered by Julius Caesar (not available all departures and will be replaced with St Pierre Archaeological/Lapidary Museum). Alternatively, join your local guide for a cycling tour.
Relax with a beverage on the terrace of the Castle of Tournon. Local guitarists will perform an acoustic set for your exclusive benefit. It’s a great soundtrack to an awe-inspiring backdrop. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 8 Viviers > Avignon
This morning, enjoy a walking tour of the ancient town of Viviers, nestled between hill and river, and visit its imposing cathedral. Scenic Culinaire will be hosting a lesson in French cuisine for those wishing to improve their skills while cruising this afternoon. Or simply soak in the panoramic vistas from the Sun Deck as you cruise to Avignon. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 9 Avignon
Freechoice: Shop with a Chef at the local market before cooking up a storm in Scenic Culinaire, or explore Avignon’s architectural wonder, the Popes’ Palace. Alternatively, take an excursion to Uzès and Pont du Gard, the impressive ancient Roman aqueduct.
This afternoon enjoy free time to explore on your own.
After the doors close to the general public at Avignon’s prestigious Popes’ Palace, you’ll be invited in for an exclusive concert where virtuoso musicians perform Mozart, Bach and Vivaldi within this elegant 14th century palace. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 10 Tarascon
Relax on board as we cruise into the Provençal town of Tarascon.
Freechoice: Visit Les Baux, and drop into a local olive farm, or explore Saint-Rémy and the Saint-Paul de Mausole Monastery. Alternatively, visit the wondrous Arles Arena on your tour of this once thriving Roman city. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 11 Tarascon
Transfer to Nice or Marseille airport after breakfast. Please book your flights to depart between 11am and 4pm if flying out of Marseille and after 1pm if flying out of Nice. (Breakfast)
