Day 1 Yangon
Welcome to Myanmar and your ovenight stay in Yangon. Enjoy your welcome dinner at the beautiful Le Planteur Restaurant. (Dinner)

Day 2 Yangon > Inle Lake
Fly to Heho and drive to Nyaung Shwe. After lunch, glide across Inle Lake in private long tail boats towards your resort for a three night Special Stay. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 3 Inle Lake
Take an excursion by long tail boats to visit Inle Lake’s floating market, which moves every five days. See the holiest site in Inle Lake, the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda and Royal barges.

Enrich
Learn all about traditional Intha cooking with a visit to an Intha family home for lunch.

Later, cruise down a network of small canals to the Pa-Oh village of Indein. (

Day 4 Inle Lake
Freechoice: Visit Pindaya Caves or travel to Taunggyi and lunch at a local winery. Alternatively, take a local village trek close by.

Day 5 Inle Lake > Mandalay
Fly to Mandalay. Later, head to Mandalay Hill for magnificent sunset views before your overnight stay. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 6 Mandalay > Irrawaddy Cruise
Marvel at Shwenandaw, a beautiful wooden monastery covered internally in gold leaf. Equally as impressive are the sights at Kuthodaw Pagoda, where the ‘World’s Largest Book’ is housed. Later walk through the rebuilt Mandalay Palace, destroyed during World War II.

Enrich
Learn how to produce gold leaf at a local workshop. At Mahamuni Pagoda, male guests may place the gold leaf on the iconic Buddha statue.

Day 7 Kyauk Myaung
After a morning cruising through the waters where the Irrawaddy dolphin is known to live, we arrive at the pottery village of Kyuak Myaung. Wander through the village to witness the artisans honing their craft and the unusual way of firing pottery. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 8 Mingun
This afternoon in Mingun discover the stories behind a massive unfinished brick pagoda. Nearby, admire the un-cracked Mingun Bell and the stunning all-white Hsinbyume Pagoda. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 9 Sagaing > Amarapura
Sagaing is dotted with hundreds of painted pagodas and monasteries.

Enrich
Interact with novice monks, nuns and orphans during a special visit to a monastic supported school. Continue to a nunnery where you will partake in the ritual and our donation to the resident nuns before their midday meal.

Sundowners
In Amarapura, relax with evening drinks in boats under U-Bein Bridge, the world’s longest teak bridge, to capture that memorable photo of the bridge’s silhouette at sunset. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 10 Pakkoku
Cruise through the morning to Pakkoku to visit a cheroot cigar workshop and longyi and blanket factory in the afternoon. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 11 Salay
Cruise downstream to Salay. On your walking tour of the town, explore Paya Thonzu, a small trio of brick shrines, admire Youqson Kyaung, a beautiful teak monastery and look inside the largest lacquer Buddha image in Myanmar.

Enrich
From the riverfront, soak up the ambience of the river and the colonial feel of the town whilst enjoying traditional local Burmese tea and snacks in a restored colonial villa dating from 1906. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 12 Magwe
Enjoy the morning sailing to Magwe, where you will experience a tour of the town by trishaw. Take in the views from Mya Tha Lun Pagoda, a mesmerising architectural vision set on Naguttama Hill. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 13 Sailing
Make use of the ship’s luxury and take the time to sip a cocktail by the pool or enjoy some solitude on your private balcony during your full day sailing upstream along the Irrawaddy towards Bagan. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 14 Bagan
Arrive into Bagan this morning. After breakfast travel by horse and cart through a local village then through the surrounding plain and it’s temple ruins, before learning all about the production of Burmese lacquerware, a Bagan specialty.

A special occasion awaits as you watch sunset over the temples, with drink in hand.

Be wowed by a Scenic exclusive magical themed dinner, with included drinks and a cultural show in front of candle lit Bagan temple ruins. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 15 Bagan
Freechoice: Rise early to attend and partake in morning alms for the local monks or watch sunrise from atop one of the temples inside the park.

Optional Hot Air Balloon Flight -  Between 1 October and 31 March, take a hot air balloon flight over the majestic temples of Bagan. (Flights last approximately 45 minutes and must be purchased prior to your cruise to guarantee availability).

Freechoice: Venture to Mount Popa, home to Myanmar’s nats or nature spirits, before heading to a Toddy Farm where a traditional lunch awaits, or cross the river to Tant Kyi Tuang to take in the expansive elevated views of Bagan. Alternatively, explore the markets at Nyaung U before either exploring the Temple Circuit, or enjoying a visit to Old Bagan.

Later this afternoon visit the most iconic sight of this intriguing region, the impressive Ananda Temple before returning on board for your farewell dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 16 Irrawaddy Cruise > Yangon
Disembark and fly to Yangon for lunch at the House of Memories Restaurant, former office of General Aung San. Later, settle into your hotel in Yangon for a two night Special Stay. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 17 Yangon
Freechoice: Ride a local train around Yangon’s suburbs. Alternatively, be guided on a tour of Yangon’s thriving art scene, or ride a ferry across the Yangon River to Dhala village.

Visit Chaukhtatgyi Paya, Yangon’s reclining Buddha.

Enrich
As the sun sets, wander around Shwedagon Pagoda and learn about the ritual of oil lamp lighting before partaking in this tradition.

Enjoy tonight’s farewell dinner at the iconic colonial Strand Hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 18 Yangon > Siem Reap
Bid farewell to Myanmar and fly to Siem Reap via Bangkok. Upon arrival, check into your hotel for a three night Special Stay. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 19 Siem Reap
Visit Ta Prohm temple before exploring at Angkor Thom and the multi-faced Bayon Temple. Later in the afternoon visit the colossal Angkor Wat.

Day 20 Siem Reap
Enrich
Marvel at sunrise over the magnificent Angkor Wat before moving to a special location for a champagne breakfast with food prepared by a NGO supported local bakery school.

Freechoice: Discover Banteay Srei and visit the Landmine Museum or admire the skills on display at Artisans D’Angkor. Alternatively, cruise on Tonle Sap (seasonal), take a tuk tuk to the markets, or a tethered balloon ride (weather dependent) above Angkor Wat before visiting a Pouk Silk Farm and Preah Khan Temple.

Day 21 Siem Reap > Mekong Cruise

Day 22 Wat Hanchey > Kampong Cham
Walk (or drive) to the top of Wat Hanchey, an ancient hilltop pagoda and monastery to meet the resident novice monks. Sail to Kampong Cham.

Freechoice: Learn about the history of the area with a visit to Phnom Pros (Man Hill) and then Wat Nokor. Alternatively explore the ecotourism village of Cheung Kok or spend your time visiting a rubber plantation factory and betel nut village. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 23 Angkor Ban > Silk Island > Phnom Penh
On arrival in Angkor Ban, explore its historical wooden houses, which survived the Khmer Rouge, and visit the local pagoda to observe the lifestyle of resident monks.

Enrich
Receive a blessing from a monk and learn how to pray in a Buddhist pagoda before partaking in a ceremony, which contributes to the daily meal of the resident nuns and monks.

Later sail downstream to Koh Dach, an island dedicated to the art of silk weaving before continuing your cruise to Phnom Penh.

Enjoy a cocktail reception on the sundeck against the backdrop of Phnom Penh’s lights as the ship sails towards the capital at sunset.

Day 24 Phnom Penh
Freechoice: Journey to the Killing Fields and tour Tuol Sleng, or join a hands-on Khmer cooking demonstration. Alternatively, explore by Tuk Tuk Phnom Penh’s colonial buildings and Central Market.

Immerse yourself in the historically celebrated luxury of Raffles, Hotel Le Royal. Enjoy a guided history tour followed by a high tea prepared in front of you, all whilst sipping on the hotel’s signature cocktail. Day 25 Phnom Penh > Tan Chau
Marvel at the Royal Palace, with the famous Silver Pagoda within, on your included visit to this must-see attraction. The afternoon is at your leisure to take advantage of the facilities of the most luxurious ship on the Mekong as you set sail for the border. Celebrate arriving in Vietnam with your themed evening dinner.

Day 26 Tan Chau
Freechoice: Visit the farmers on Evergreen Island and enjoy a ride in a Xe Loi or cruise by speedboat to Chau Doc and walk through the market, visit a family-operated fish farm and cruise around Chau Doc waterfront. Alternatively visit Tra Su Bird Sanctuary.

Whilst sailing to Sa Dec take the time to sip a cocktail by the pool or enjoy your private balcony. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 27 Sa Dec > Cai Be
Visit historic town of Sa Dec and explore its lively market. Stop for tea at the home of Mr Huynh Thuy Le who inspired Marguerite Duras’ novel L’Amant.

Freechoice: Visit Cai Be before stopping at local cottage industries and a traditional house in the area. Alternatively savour afternoon tea at a French colonial house or choose to stay on board and learn to make cocktails. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 28 Mekong Cruise > Ho Chi Minh City
Drive to Ho Chi Minh City and enjoy an orientation tour around your hotel for the next two nights. Spend the remainder of the afternoon at leisure.
