Day 3 Cologne
Discover Cologne on a guided walking tour. Later, you may wish to make the most of your free time and take a stroll through the city’s myriad of Christmas markets. Look out for the largest Christmas tree in the Rhineland on your way. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 4 Rhine Gorge > Rüdesheim
Board the Winzerexpress mini-train for a guided visit of Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 5 Miltenberg
Today you have the opportunity to learn what life is like in a German village.
Freechoice: Visit a local monastery for a tour and insight into regional beer production or meet a winemaker and join him for a taste of his fine wines. Alternatively, join a Baron and Baroness and learn what it is like to be an aristocrat in the modern day as they guide you through their castle, or opt to visit a local farming family and taste some of their home made produce, alternatively, visit to a local producer for a Schnapps tasting. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 6 Würzburg
Freechoice: Take a guided tour of Rothenburg with time to wander the famed Reiterlesmarkt. Alternatively, stay in Würzburg and tour the streets of this fabulous festive city. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 7 Bamberg
Immerse yourself in the World Heritage-listed old town of Bamberg, alive with history. With your knowledgeable local guide, walk the same streets as medieval traders once did. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 8 Nuremberg
Welcome to this fascinating Bavarian city, dating back to the 11th century.
Freechoice: Visit moving WWII sites or take a baking class and learn how to make traditional German Gingerbread widely associated with the Christmas season, or join a walking tour of the city. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 9 Regensburg
Join your local guide for a walking tour of Regensburg, a town dating back to the Stone Age. You will see many of its most famous and important sights such as the stone bridge, the Church of St James and its famous cathedral.
Tonight perhaps attend Regensburg’s traditional Christmas Mass. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 10 Sailing Day
Merry Christmas. Celebrate with newfound friends on board your Scenic Space-Ship as you cruise towards Linz. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 11 Linz > Salzburg
Let the ‘Best of The Sound of Music and Salzburg Show’ transport you to another time and place. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 12 Melk > Dürnstein
Freechoice: Be guided through Melk’s Benedictine Abbey, or cycle from Melk to Dürnstein. Alternatively enjoy a Schnapps tasting on board. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 13 Vienna
Freechoice: Tour magnificent Schönbrunn Palace or discover beautiful Bratislava. Alternatively, discover Vienna on a guided cycling tour or learn about the long history of Viennese coffee culture while sipping on a delicious brew accompanied by cake.
Breathe in the opulence and luxury of Palais Liechtenstein. Then be enthralled by an enchanting private classical evening concert featuring the timeless music of Strauss and Mozart. With a special dedication to Beethoven as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of his birth. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 14 Budapest
Freechoice: Tour this city of contradictory delights, or unwind at the Thermal Baths and Spa instead. Alternatively, brave the labyrinths of the Hospital in the Rock. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 15 Budapest > Prague
After a delicious breakfast, transfer to the beautiful city of Prague where you’ll enjoy three nights at one of our luxurious city central hotels, such as the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Tonight, join your Tour Director and fellow guests for a welcome drink. (Breakfast)
Day 16 Prague
Join your expert local guide to explore Prague in all its Gothic glory including the Old Town and its famous Astronomical Clock and the Charles Bridge, commissioned in 1357 by Charles IV.
Freechoice: Enjoy a walking tour of Prague’s communist-era history. Alternatively, learn about the 900 year history of Strahov Monastery and delight in its many wonders such as the Treasury and art gallery, showcasing a vast array of important works from both Czech and international artists.
Tonight, relish a delicious Czech dinner. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 17 Prague
Stroll this magnificent city at your leisure. Situated on the banks of the River Vltava in central Bohemia, Prague is rich in history and home to some of the world’s most striking architectural wonders. Your Tour Director is on hand to help you plan. (Breakfast)

Depart after breakfast, taking many wonderful memories with you. (Breakfast)
