Day 1 Welcome to Amsterdam
Toast the marvellous journey ahead of you at this evening’s welcome reception. Please book your flight to arrive prior to 5pm in Amsterdam. (Dinner)

Day 2 Antwerp
Freechoice: Be seduced by beautiful World Heritage-listed Bruges, or learn about the famous Flemish painter, Peter Paul Rubens in Antwerp and visit his former residence as well as the cathedral where a number of his more important works are housed. Alternatively, discover delightful Antwerp on a guided walking tour, followed by leisure time. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 3 Veere
Freechoice: Choose a guided tour through the quaint streets of Veere, or cycle through the town with a local guide and admire the surrounding dykes. A medieval gem resting on the banks of the Moselle River, Cochem will make you feel as if you’re stepping into a fairytale. Explore this charming city on a tour that culminates in a visit to the iconic Reichsburg Castle. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 9 Moselle Valley Cruising
Admire the beautiful Moselle Valley from the comfort of your Scenic Space-Ship as you relax on board during a full day of cruising. This afternoon if you’re feeling energetic, take a guided bike ride to the pretty village of Bernkastel, where you can rejoin the cruise. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 10 Bernkastel

Day 11 Rhine Gorge > Rüdesheim

Day 12 Mannheim
Freechoice: Experience the thrill of the Hockenheim Formula 1 track with a museum visit and an insider tour of the circuit, or join an expert local guide on a historic tour of Heidelberg, where you’ll visit Heidelberg’s Renaissance castle. The castle ruins are among the most important Renaissance structures north of the Alps. Alternatively, join a local guide for an orientation tour of Heidelberg, followed by leisure time.

Day 15 Basel > Zurich
Farewell your Scenic Space-Ship this morning and transfer to Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city, where you’ll start the next leg of your journey with an overnight stay. (Breakfast)

Day 16 Zurich > Montreux
This morning, visit the elegant Bahnhofstrasse and see the Romanesque Cathedral. Then, leave Zurich behind and journey to Gruyères en route to Montreux, where you’ll enjoy your overnight Special Stay. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 17 Montreux > Zermatt
Cruise on Lake Geneva to Chillon Castle and enjoy a guided tour then board a cog-wheel train to the Swiss Alps village of Zermatt. Check into your hotel for your two night stay. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 18 Zermatt
Freechoice: Ascend the Swiss Alps by rail to Gornergrat for magnificent views, including the Matterhorn. Alternatively, take a guided hike through majestic mountain scenery. (Breakfast)

Day 19 Zermatt > St. Moritz
This morning, drive to Andermatt where you will board the Glacier Express for a spectacular rail journey through the stunning Swiss Alps, before arriving in St. Moritz for an overnight stay. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 20 St. Moritz > Bern
Enrich
Enjoy conversation and cheese tasting with wine or home-made apple juice on your visit to a rural Swiss farm.

End the day with a two night stay in Bern. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 21 Bern > Lucerne > Bern
Journey to Lucerne, and enjoy a walking tour of the Old Town including the Chapel Bridge, followed by a picturesque cruise on Lucerne’s lake to the village of Vitznau. Join the oldest cog-wheel train in Switzerland for a breathtaking ascent of Mount Rigi. (Breakfast)

Day 22 Bern > Innsbruck
Leave Switzerland, bound for Austria.

Visit the Austrian town of Seefeld and enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride, and treat yourself to the famous Austrian dessert, apple strudel.

Day 23 Innsbruck > Munich
Travel through towering peaks to Hohenschwangau to see the majestic spires of Neuschwanstein Castle, which you’ll also visit. Later, follow the Romantic Road to Munich for a two night stay. (Breakfast)

Day 24 Munich
Explore the streets of Munich on a walking tour, see the Marienplatz and the Town Hall with its world famous Glockenspiel. Tonight you will enjoy a sumptuous dinner featuring typical German cuisine at one of Munich’s oldest restaurants. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 25 Munich > Salzburg
Visit the Eagle’s Nest, located in the Bavarian Alps, then continue to Salzburg where you’ll visit locations used during the filming of ‘The Sound of Music’, as well as Mozart’s birthplace and residence. Overnight stay in Salzburg. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 26 Salzburg > Vienna
Delight in the spectacular scenery as you venture into the Salzkammergut district, made famous by ‘The Sound of Music’. Continuing on to Vienna, you will check into your hotel, your base for the next two nights. (Breakfast)

Day 27 Vienna
Your expert local guide will show you the city’s imperial glory during your guided tour.
