Day 2 Budapest

Alternatively, take a guided hike to Buda Hill for breath-taking views over the Danube, or journey to nearby Szentendre, known for its museums, galleries and artists. You’ll have the opportunity to discover this charming town on a guided city tour. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 3 Vienna
As you cruise the mighty Danube relax in one of the lounges and viewing areas, and enjoy the scenery as your Scenic Space-Ship sails towards the majestic city of Vienna.
Admire the opulence and luxury of Palais Liechtenstein while enjoying a glass of fine Austrian Sekt. Then sit enthralled during an enchanting private Viennese evening concert featuring the timeless music of Strauss and Mozart. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 4 Vienna
Freechoice: Take a guided tour of historic Bratislava or tour Schönbrunn Palace and witness the sheer opulence of the Habsburg Empire. Alternatively, explore this majestic city on a guided cycling tour or visit the Belvedere Museum, one of Europe’s most stunning Baroque landmarks. Explore the greatest collection of Austrian art dating from the Middle Ages to the present day, complemented by the work of international artists such as Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh. The museum houses the world’s largest collection of Gustav Klimt’s paintings, including the golden Art Nouveau icons ‘The Kiss’ and ‘Judith’. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 5 Dürnstein > Melk
Freechoice: Be guided through Melk’s magnificent 18th century Benedictine Abbey. Alternatively, embark on a guided bike ride along the river from Dürnstein to Melk – at your own pace, of course. Or visit a local winery for a guided tour and tasting of its fine wines.
As the day ends, take in the fine views of the breathtakingly beautiful Wachau Valley. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 6 Linz > Passau
Freechoice: Visit the medieval Czech city of Cesky Krumlov and discover its World Heritage-listed old town, or journey to Salzburg and explore the birthplace of Mozart and the city backdrop for the film ‘The Sound of Music’. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 7 Regensburg
Regensburg offers a rich tapestry of experiences, from its medieval Old Town to the Bavarian Forest on its border.
Freechoice: Join a guided walk around Regensburg or take a ferry and sail the Danube Gorge to view historic Weltenburg Abbey, where you can sample beer from one of the oldest monastic breweries in the world. Alternatively, take a leisurely cycle on your own to the Walhalla monument with your Tailormade GPS device. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 8 Nuremberg
Disembark in Nuremberg and transfer to a centrally located hotel, where you’ll enjoy an overnight stay. This afternoon join your local guide on a walking tour of this fascinating city complete with beer tasting. (Breakfast)
Day 9 Nuremberg > Munich
This morning journey to Munich, Bavaria’s largest city. Join your Tour Director on an orientation of this picturesque city before checking into your hotel for the next two nights. This evening join your fellow travellers for dinner of traditional German cuisine. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 10 Munich
Explore the Bavarian city of Munich with your expert local guide who’ll help you discover the wonder of this fine city, including the Marienplatz, Glockenspiel and Viktualienmarkt. (Breakfast)
Day 11 Munich > Oberammergau
Today we journey to the town of Oberammergau. In 1633 the residents of the town vowed that if they were spared from the bubonic plague sweeping the region, they would produce a play for all time depicting the life and death of Jesus. Today you will have the privilege of attending a performance of this epic play. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 12 Oberammergau > Salzburg
This morning your journey continues to the Austrian city of Salzburg. This afternoon your local guide will introduce you to this charming city, famous as the birthplace of Mozart and as the setting for the acclaimed film ‘The Sound of Music’. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 13 Salzburg > Munich
This morning transfer to Munich airport for your onward or homebound flight. Please book flights to depart after 2pm. (Breakfast)
