Day 4 Cape Town > Thornybush Game Reserve (Kruger National Park)
Fly to Hoedspruit and transfer to Thornybush Private Game Lodge, adjacent to Kruger National Park and home to Africa’s ‘Big Five’, where you’ll enjoy a three night Special Stay. Set off on your first game drive this afternoon.

Day 5 Thornybush Game Reserve (Kruger National Park)
Specially adapted Land Rovers are able to game drive without restriction, to track the ‘Big Five’ – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo.

Day 6 Thornybush Game Reserve (Kruger National Park)
Encounter Africa’s wildlife on your morning and evening game drives today. There is also an opportunity for a walking safari with your ranger. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 7 Panorama Route > Johannesburg
Travel the magnificent Panorama Route to Johannesburg and see the Blyde River Canyon – the third deepest in the world. Enjoy an overnight stay at your stylish hotel in Johannesburg. (Breakfast)
Day 8 Johannesburg > Victoria Falls
Board your flight to Victoria Falls and marvel at the world’s largest sheet of falling water. Check into your hotel for a three night Special Stay.
Be treated to a special Sundowners cruise down the Zambezi River and watch the teeming wildlife on the banks, drink in hand, just upstream from Victoria Falls. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 9 Chobe National Park
Enjoy a cruise on the Chobe River, home to vast herds of elephants and buffalo as well as a game drive along the shoreline. (Breakfast, Lunch)
Day 10 Victoria Falls
Visit a typical Zimbabwean village to gain unique insights into traditional tribal life. Get up close and personal during your visit to an elephant sanctuary.

Day 11 Victoria Falls > Nairobi

Day 12 Nairobi
Experience a unique encounter with a giraffe and learn about how these animals are endangered. Relive the romance of the movie Out of Africa during a visit to Karen Blixen’s home before travelling to Kiambethu Tea Farm. Wander through the tea fields and hear the stories of the first commercially grown tea in Kenya.

Day 13 Nairobi > Ngorongoro Crater

Day 14 Ngorongoro Crater
Witness sunrise over the crater before an extended game drive along the crater floor. The area is reputed to contain the largest number of predators in all of Africa. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 15 Ngorongoro Crater > Serengeti National Park
Step back in time with a visit to Olduvai Gorge, site of archaeological findings, including traces of pre-historic man dating back 3.5 million years. Later, enter Serengeti National Park with its vast central plains, made fertile by the ashes of the nearby highlands. Your two night stay is at the Serengeti Sopa Lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 17 Serengeti National Park > Amboseli National Reserve

Day 25 Giza

Fly to Luxor and relax in the beautiful gardens of your Special Stay hotel for tonight. Day 27 Luxor > Nile Cruise

Day 28 Nile Cruise

Day 29 Nile Cruise
Follow the course of the ancient pharaohs’ processions along the Nile as you cruise south where villages and majestic temples line the banks of the river against the backdrop of the desert. This afternoon, explore Kom Ombo Temple, perched high on the east bank, dedicated to Sobek, the Crocodile God.

Day 30 Nile Cruise
Cruise south to charming Aswan, the home of the Nubian people. Discover the Osiris temple complex of Philae, then visit the stone quarries to learn about ancient carving techniques and see the enormous unfinished obelisk. Day 31 Nile Cruise > Aswan

Day 37 Amman > Wadi Rum
At Madaba, discover the famous mosaic map of the Holy Land and visit the Madaba Institute for Mosaic Art and Restoration. Day 38 Wadi Rum > Petra
