River Cruise Itinerary
Day 1: Budapest

Embark. Your adventure begins today.

Day 2: Budapest

Included - Budapest’s Best (AM)
Did you know Budapest is actually made up of two cities? On this walking tour, you’ll experience the greatest sites that Pest has to offer. From Parliament to the Jewish Quarter and everything in-between, discover hidden gems and even sample some Hungarian street food from a local market!

U Time - Bike to Margaret Island (PM)
Located between Buda and Pest, in the middle of the Danube River, Margaret Island is a tranquil getaway within the city. On your way there, you’ll bike ride through Elisabeth Bridge on the Buda side, for a visit to the Castle Garden. Then, head to Margaret Island where you’ll have much to choose from – iconic fountains, gorgeous flower gardens, and a choice of thermal baths and adventure pools.

Day 3: Bratislava, Vienna

Included - Bohemian Dreamin' (AM)
Take a delightful stroll through Bratislava, Slovakia’s small and charming capital. It’s located on the Danube and surrounded by vineyards and the Carpathian Mountains, so a fully charged phone for pictures is a must. Known for its lively bars and Art Deco cafes, it’s a great place for Czech beer and Bohemian eats. Soak in the relaxed urban lifestyle of the pedestrian-only, 18th-century Old Town. Then treat yourself to a croissant or an éclair from a Bratislava pastry shop. Or both. We’re good with that.

U Time - Retro Bratislava (AM)
Take a trip through Slovakia’s Communist past. Start by hopping into a Škoda car, Czechoslovakia’s legendary automobile, where a local expert will take you off the beaten path to some amazing Soviet monuments, viewpoints and food markets. There, you can get a taste of the socialist worker’s cuisine and snacks. Finish your tour with a drive into Bratislava’s old town where you can explore before heading back to the ship.

Included Night Out - Vienna After Dark (PM)
Looking for a night out on the town? Perfect. Your U Host will show you some of the coolest night time spots in Vienna! First, you’ll head to Stephansplatz, a glorious architectural setting and popular meeting up spot for many locals. Then you’ll work your way through the alleyways of the so-called Bermuda Triangle where most night owls stay forever. There are cocktails bars, beer pubs, nightclubs and lots of live music in this famous hotspot. And if you haven’t stopped off for a drink anywhere yet, the tour will conclude around the Danube Canal, where many waterside “beach” bars form a lively social scene every evening. This will be a night to remember!

U Time - Taste of Bratislava (PM)
Head to Bratislava’s Old Town, a short walk from the ship, to try the tasty local street food and beer. Then, go up to the observation deck on the city’s famous cable bridge, more commonly known as the “UFO” of Bratislava – you'll understand when you see it. Enjoy some amazing views of the Danube before heading back to the ship.

Day 4: Vienna

Included - Good Morning Vienna (AM)
Wake up, grab a cup of joe and follow your U Host onshore for a morning stroll through Vienna. Head to the Historic Center of Vienna, an area rich in architecture, including Baroque castles, gardens and late -19th-century Ringstrasse lined with grand buildings, monuments and parks. The best way to wake up in the morning is with a tour of beautiful Vienna.

U Time - The Best of Vienna (AM)
Do as the locals do and hop on the inner-city metro to your next adventure (metro pass included). Just a few stops away, this in-depth tour of Vienna begins in Karlsplatz. Follow your Local Guide towards Charles Church, which is widely considered the most outstanding Baroque church in Vienna, and that’s no easy feat! Continue along the famous Ringstrasse to see one of the city’s four famous opera houses and The Albertina Museum. Then, make your way to the beautiful and shaded Burggarten for a quick cool down before continuing your adventure! After you’ve had a moment’s rest, walk into the inner city to Bräunerstraße, where your guide will show you the best cafés and bars that locals frequent. Sample cheeses, wines and delicious palatschinken! Finally, amble over to the iconic (and gorgeous) St. Stephen’s Cathedral. And now your crash course tour of Vienna is over!

Included - After Hours at the Castle (PM)
Your guided tour of Schönbrunn Palace—the former summer residence of the imperial family—includes the staterooms and private apartments of Empress Maria Theresa. Maria Theresa Schönbrunn made it the focus of court life. Today, it plays host to the highest-level politicians in all of Europe. And now—you.

U Time - Rock Me, Amadeus (PM)
Vienna’s musical legacy was shaped throughout history by the likes of Mozart, Beethoven and Strauss. What better way to spend the day in the classical music capital than to attend a concert performed by a professional chamber orchestra. Your local host will guide you from the ship to Albert Hall where you will experience the music of Mozart, Strauss and other famous composers.

U Time - Taste of Vienna (PM)
Take the metro with your local guide to Innere Stadt, Vienna's old town, for a walking tour of the city's coolest sights. Then, hop on a bus to a Heurigen (Viennese wine tavern) restaurant for a traditional lunch complete with soup, schnitzel and apple strudel. After lunch, choose to take the bus back to the ship or the city center to keep exploring on your own.

Day 5: Dürnstein, Melk

Included - Castle Ruins Rendezvous (AM)
Dürnstein, Austria, is a beautiful town situated along the Danube River. Explore its restaurants, shops and scenic views to discover why it’s nicknamed the “Pearl of the Wachau.” Take a stroll through the town’s narrow cobblestone streets to historical buildings like the Blue Monastery Church and Abbey. Last but definitely not least, hike up to the famous Dürnstein Castle ruins where Richard Lionheart was once a prisoner and have a dream photo op. With expansive views of the Danube River and Wachau Valley, this is a can’t-miss experience.

U Time - Wine Time in the Wachau (PM)
Wachau Valley is one of Austria's most established and notable wine regions. So when better to experience their wines then when in Wachau on this wine tasting with canapes at Küffer Keller, a short walk from the ship.

Day 6: Engelhartszell, Passau

Included - Bike The Danube (AM)
Feeling energized after your morning hike? Grab a bike and cruise down the famous Danube bike path, which is particularly scenic from Passau to Vienna. Your expert guides will lead you on a flat 20-mile route. Reunite with the ship in Engelhartszell, where you can quench your thirst with beer made by Trappist monks.

Included - Scenic Passau (PM)
Into beautiful scenery and architecture? Don't pass on Passau. Situated at the intersection of the Danube, Inn and llz rivers, the city boasts some of the best views on the German-Austrian border. Take a hike to one of Passau's best viewpoints: Veste Oberhaus. The views are storybook, allowing you to see the entire city of Passau as well as the surrounding countryside. Get lost in the city’s maze of old town alleys. Get your architecture fix at St. Stephen’s Cathedral, with its distinctive domed towers. Fun fact: The cathedral is also home to one of the largest organs in the world, with 17,974 pipes.

U Time - Six Senses of Bavaria (PM)
Start at the ship and follow your guide on a tour to learn all about the history, life and culture of Passau and Bavaria. Along the way, stop into local restaurants for a bite to eat, break for a drink, meet a local artist and explore their studio, and more. This tour will appeal to all your senses.

U Time - Ilz River Splash (PM)
Get ready for an afternoon full of fun on the Ilz River! Follow your U Host for a quick walk over the Danube bridge to the Ilz boathouse. There, you’ll decide whether you want to paddle board, canoe, swim or simply relax on the shady embankment. Don’t forget your sunscreen! Note: this U Time excursion is only available in the summer.

U Time - Geocaching in Passau (PM)
Our take on “The Amazing Race,” get to know Passau while solving riddles and clues and completing tasks to advance to the next station. At the end, solve the final quiz to get a surprise gift.

Day 7: Regensburg

Included - Medieval Regensburg (PM)
Regensburg, Germany is a Bavarian city nestled along the Danube River. Revel in 2,000 years of medieval history on an hour-long, host-escorted stroll through the city’s well-preserved Old Town. Visit landmarks like Regensburg Cathedral, Porta Praetoria and the famous Old Stone Bridge. Then make your way through crooked town alleys and stumbling stones before visiting the Händlmaier’s mustard store. Regensburg's got a lot.

U Time - Regensburg Through the Ages (PM)
Regensburg has a fascinating history. Learn about the animal fights, reckless tightrope artists and public executions that lured people into the city streets during the Middle Ages. Watch re-enactments and hear captivating stories about the lives of executioners, street artists and other outcasts. The city, once divided by glittering wealth and bitter poverty, has come a long way.

Day 8: Regensburg
